If you have no Wage Withholding Tax, do you file a return with zero or file no return at all?

You will be registered only for those tax programs in which you have a history of filing. If you have never filed Wage Withholding before, you will not need to do so under the new system unless you have hired employees and now have that obligation.

If you have paid Wage Withholding in the past but no longer have employees, you will need to file a ‘zero’ return.  If you expect that to be a permanent situation, you may want to submit a request on TAP to close your wage withholding account.
