Legislation Fiscal Impact Reports (FIR)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00a0Proposed legislation can be located on the New Mexico Legislature\u2019s website at https:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Taxation and Revenue Department employees analyze proposed bills, resolutions and memorials that affect the Department, and state and local revenues. Fiscal Impact Reports (FIRs) are created for those proposed bills. The FIRs look at the fiscal, legal, tax policy, and administrative impacts.<\/p>\n
