The New Employer’s Workshop will provide the new employer with training in computing withholding taxes for New Mexico employees, as well as a discussion of State Unemployment Tax Act (SUTA) with Dept of Workforce Solutions (DWS), Worker Compensation Insurance with Workers Compensation Administration (WCA), workplace safety with OSHA and Federal tax requirements for Federal Employer Identification Number, information returns (W-2 & 1099), payroll taxes, pre-payment reports and employer returns with our Volunteer CPA’s. There will also be a comprehensive discussion of Employee vs. Independent Contractor.
