Free Filing Assistance 

The Taxation and Revenue Department offers free assistance throughout the year and free electronic filing of New Mexico Personal Income Tax returns for citizens whose income is $22,000 or less. Contact your local office for more information.

In addition, Central New Mexico Community College’s (CNM) TAX HELP New Mexico and AARP offer free electronic filling assistance for both federal and state income tax returns in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe tax offices starting in February every year. Tax help runs through April 15. Your income must be $50,000 or less.
