Notice of Overpayment 

A notice of overpayment advises you that you overpaid the amount owed on your return or notice of assessment. Review your records and determine whether you agree. The notice will advise you how to correct the overpayment.

This notice includes:

  • taxpayer identification information;
  • date of notice;
  • letter ID number;
  • type of tax;
  • report period;
  • overpayment amount;
  • taxpayer actions (what you must do), and
  • Taxation and Revenue Department contact information.
