The New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department encourages you to file your taxes electronically and conduct other tax and motor vehicle-related business online whenever possible.

Electronic transactions are safe and secure. They offer faster service than transactions via mail or in person. Here is what you can do electronically online:  

  • pay a tax liability;
  • make estimated tax payments;
  • check the status of a tax refund;
  • manage tax accounts;
  • file personal income, gross receipts, compensating, withholding, weight and distance and oil and gas taxes and workers’ compensation fee returns;
  • register a new business and obtain a CRS identification number;
  • request nontaxable transaction certificates (NTTCs);
  • file a weight distance tax return (single and bulk filing);
  • search unclaimed property;
  • renew a vehicle registration;
  • driver history record search;
  • title, lien and registration records search, and           
  • find my license.
